Poker night

Today's guest blog post is from Thanh. Poker night at his place. I'll resize the pics later.

Thanks for coming guys. For those who couldn't come or had to leave early you missed out on some interesting events. Here is the synopsis of a night of drinks, poker and carnage.

There were triumphs and despairs as each round concludes with one winner and many losers, overall the night was fun and the humiliation has yet to be accounted for...

Most notably the game starts with Tom's shocking 6 high all in on the first round of the first game. Eyebrows were raised. Tom was knocked out and went running home to his missus for comfort. Suggest a book called 'Poker for Dummies'. Just kidding.

Varun with sunglasses on at night who sent Tom packing went on to suspiciously and successfully bluff and bullied a few more win before the rest finally caught on and knocked him out, narrowly missing out on the crucial podium. But the real pain is when he has to explain to his girlfriend why he has to borrow her hat for one day...

First time playing in the big boys league Alan should of stick to what he knows best and don't raise, last time he came 4th without doing much, this time he raised and got knocked out. So shocked he became a spectator for the second match. Suggest a book called 'Poker for Dummies'. Just kidding.

John's downfall was his girlfriend...one phone call from his other half distracted him out of almost all of his stash leaving him with 40p, naturally he was knocked out...again. Look out for two sad looking photos of him. No lunch money for him next week.

With all the athleticism Simon had a slow start but came back in the second match to finish a respectable 2nd and ended up breaking even for the night. However he will also go down as the guy who lost 1st place to put 3 ladies hats on 3 very masculine guys for one day.

The overall winner of the night goes to Kham who came 3rd in the first match and 1st on the second match, but the real win for him was the revenge on all the metro-sexual hassles by knocking out Simon to take out the bet for Brad, Thanh and Varun to each wear a lady's hat for one day at work. What could of being is Kham wears a lady's hat for 3 days at work. Damned it!

Brad the trouble maker at work is also the trouble maker outside of work. A respectable effort to come 1st and 3rd. But all the money he won will be shadowed by the feminine lady's hat that he will be wearing at work. Expect gleeful laughter from Kham.

After being wedged between Varun the bully on the right and Kham the metro-sexual bully on the left. Thanh managed to rally back on the second half to knocked John out en route to a podium finish of 2nd in the first match. Unfortunately the most masculine guy is gonna be one
of the 3 feminine guy with a lady's hat on for one day...

Which brings us to the guy who argueably lost the most...his beard. Robert had a bet with Brad to see who would get knocked out first. The 'before' photo has being taken, now we just need the 'after' photo. Everyone look out for a 12 years old looking Robert in the office. Evil laughs all round.

But the last laugh goes to all of us... when you see the photos.

Cheers,
Thanh
