Motorbike accident

Not a recent one, this one happened way back in August last year.

This woman in our shared carpark, hit my parked bike, knocked it over and put it back up. Didn't leave a note or anything. When I went to go to work, I noticed the damage. I knew which car it was, managed to track the owner down and made a claim for the damage. Just for the helmet, which came to $300.

She refused to pay. Offered $100 in the way of a good will gesture as she claimed contributory neglience by the way I parked.

Finally I got off my butt and went down to the local courts to file a claim. Pretty damn cool down there. Took about half an hour to do it. Filled out a form saying what I was claiming for.

Then I had to pay to file it. $63 for filing it. But as an added bonus I could pay $44 more and get a sherif to serve the papers (Otherwise I had to do it myself). I had this image of the sherif kicking down her door to give the papers, so of course I paid it.

The extra $107 is part of my suit against her, so I get it all back if I win.

Got the biggest grin on my face imaging the sherif giving her the papers and the shitting-her-pants feeling she'll get before she realises what it's about.
